When it comes to patella fractures, fixing the bone is only part of the solution. Every time the quadriceps fires or knee bends, significant force works against the fixation construct, pulling fracture repair apart.

Cannulated screws with tension bands and plate constructs both do one thing well: they repair the fractured bone. But neither manages the forces pulling on the hardware, and up to 40% of these repairs fail.

That's where Endeavor comes in. An anatomically contoured plate, built specifically for the patella, with sutures designed right into the system. The deforming forces now have somewhere else to go: through the sutures, onto the plate and away from the fracture, offloading the tensile forces on the fracture. This enables less construct failure, preserves range of motion and supports a more predictable path to union.

Olecranon

The olecranon sits subcutaneously at the posterior elbow, making its overlying soft tissue highly vulnerable to pressure, friction and bursitis.

Proper soft-tissue management may:

  • Support weight-bearing through the elbow

Greater Tuberosity

Located on the proximal humerus, the greater tuberosity anchors key rotator cuff tendons.

Foot & Ankle

The Achilles tendon and the dense network of tendons crossing the foot and ankle exert powerful, multidirectional forces, making avulsion fractures in this region especially prone to fixation failure.

Greater Trochanter

The greater trochanter is a prominent lateral hip landmark where multiple gluteal tendons and the bursa meet.

Single-Use Sterile Procedure Kits

The Summit Patella Plating System features a single-use sterile procedure kit, making it ready for surgery anytime and anywhere with no need for hospital processing.

This can eliminate costly cleaning and inventorying of surgical implants and instruments, a savings of up to approximately $285 per procedure. Additionally, single-use procedure kits may improve O.R. efficiency, reduce infection risks and lessen environmental impact.
